This easy banana smoothie recipe uses ripe bananas (not very ripe bananas), cheerios, a little milk, cold chilled water and ice cubes.

easy banana smoothie recipe cheerios

This is a very refreshing and delicious breakfast smoothie recipe but yet very simple and easy to follow and make.

The banana smoothie made from this easy banana smoothie recipe is not very thick in texture, but it is creamy, delicious and more liquid like consistency like that of milkshakes and drinks.

However I do not really call this a milkshake since the flavor, texture and taste resembles smoothies. Maybe you can tell me if you call this a smoothie or milkshake 🙂 anyhow I can tell you this is a delicious drink and a very easy recipe to follow and you can make it completely healthy if you replace the sugar with a natural sweetener.

If your kids are fussy or bored about cereal and milk in the morning and if you want to fix a super simple recipe that contains healthy grain cereals, fruits and milk, this is it.

I have chosen cheerios as the cereal for this smoothie, but you can use your favorite cereal but I recommend to use something healthy.

You Can Buy Cheerios Here.

I have used some sugar in this recipe, but if you want to make this recipe more healthy feel free to replace the sugar with something more healthy like pure maple syrup or honey (if you like the flavors).

When I choose the bananas for the smoothies, I do not like to use overripe bananas as the flavor is quite too much, but that is your choice.

I find that overripe bananas are the best for baking whether you bake cakes or muffins or bread, however, overripe bananas do not seems to be the best for smoothies. However, it is your choice 🙂

If you are following a vegan diet, you can make this an easy vegan banana smoothie recipe by replacing the whole milk with almond milk, coconut milk or soy milk.
