- Broccoli florets 2 Cups
- Grated or shredded coconut 1 Cup
- turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
- red chili powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Crushed fresh garlic or dried garlic flakes 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt as required
- For seasoning
- Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
- Dried Red chilies 2 to 3 (optional) (you can use fresh chilies also)
Notes: You can add your favorite spices also if you wish, some additional suggestions would be crushed black pepper, curry powder, oregano powder etc.

- Heat oil in a wide bottomed pan or skillet, and add the cumin seeds.
- When the cumin seeds starts to splutter, add the red chilies, and fry for few seconds.
- Now add the broccoli florets and salt and stir fry in high heat for about 2 minutes, stirring in between using a good spatula.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir fry by letting them cook for about 4 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Add the grated coconut and spices – turmeric powder, red chili powder and garam masala powder, gently mix and fry for another two minutes.
