Pancakes With Self Rising Flour - Easy, Fluffy, Simple, Homemade

  • In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients - flour, dry milk powder, cinnamon powder and sugar until everything is evenly mixed.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs very well, add the vanilla extract, melted butter or oil and milk, stir well to combine.
  • Add the wet ingredients mixture to the dry flour mixture, mix well to form the pancake batter.
  • Heat a non stick pan and grease with little oil or butter. Pour a ladle full of pancake batter on to the pan. Cook in medium heat until bubbles appear on top, which takes about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Gently flip the pancake and cook the other side too.
  • Transfer the cooked pancake to a serving dish. Similarly cook all pancakes until the batter is all finished. Serve the delicious pancakes with maple syrup or butter, jam, fresh fruits etc as you please!

Notes

If you do not have self rising flour in your kitchen, to substitute self rising flour in this pancake recipe, just replace the 2 cups of self rising flour with 2 cups of all purpose flour and also use 2 teaspoons of baking powder to make fluffy pancakes. Just make sure to evenly mix the baking powder with the dry flour before you add in the wet ingredients mixture. The texture may be slightly different when you use substitute self rising flour with all purpose flour and baking powder, but it will still be delicious.
