Ingredients

  • 2 black plums ripe (about 1.5 to 2 cups chopped)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste (this is optional, you may use natural sweeteneres like honey or maple syrup as well)
  • 2 ice cubes (for topping), optional

Instructions

  • Wash the plums very well, slice in medium sized pieces (discard the pit).
  • Add the sliced plums to the blender along with sugar and water.
  • Blend until very smooth.
  • Filter the juice using a good strainer to remove any foam and residue from the skin of the plums. You may need to strain the juice a couple of times if necessary.
  • Transfer to cups, top with ice cubes if desired and serve immediately!

Notes

This juice tastes the best when its served, just like any other fresh fruit juice.
So make sure to serve the juice chilled for best results.
If serving the juice later, you can save it in the refrigerator or even freeze (in ice cube trays) for later use.
