Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups blueberries fresh or frozen, make sure to use good quality berries and preferrably sweet ones
  • 1 cup milk chilled
  • 2 cups ice cream vanilla, blueberry, birthday cake flavor or any suitable choice
  • 3 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup, adjust to your preference
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Wash the blueberries very well (if using fresh blueberries, no need to wash if it's frozen blueberries) and transfer to the blender.
  • Also add the ice cream, milk, sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Blend until very smooth. Blueberry milkshake tend to have tiny bits of skins from blueberries which are visible, but that's totally normal.
  • Transfer the delicious & creamy blueberry milkshake to glasses, enjoy immediately for best results!

Notes

If making for later use, keep it refrigerated until serving, because the milkshake tastes the best when its served chilled.
You may need to stir the milkshake a bit with a spoon before serving, if you are storing for later use.
Also, if you are not serving the same day, its a good idea to freeze the milkshake.
You can freeze the milkshake in ice cube trays to store for few more days if needed and just blend the frozen cubes again in the blender until very smooth, just before serving.
