Ingredients

  • 2 cups watermelon sliced (chilled or frozen)
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced (chilled or frozen)
  • 1 large banana may use frozen sliced bananas for a thicker texture
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • ¼ cup milk chilled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Place watermelon, strawberries and banana in a good quality blender.
  • Add the yogurt, honey, chilled milk and vanilla extract, blend until smooth.
  • Transfer to glass cups and serve immediately for best results!

Notes

If you decide to store the watermelon strawberry banana smoothie in the fridge, you may store jars or pitchers and store for few more hours and make sure to use the same day.
It is a good idea to blend the smoothie again just before serving, or the texture could be different.
If you want to save the watermelon smoothie for longer periods, it is a good idea to transfer the smoothie to ice cube trays and freeze in the freezer since smoothies tend to freeze well if stored properly.
In fact, storing the watermelon smoothie in the freezer is a better idea than storing it in the fridge.
Just before serving, you can use the frozen watermelon smoothie cubes and blend again in a good quality high power blender to make delicious smoothie!
