Watermelon mint agua fresca or agua de sandia with fresh watermelon, mint leaves, ice cubes, honey and lime juice makes a very popular, refreshing Mexican style fruit drink perfect for hot summer months or holidays!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups watermelon sliced
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves (about 5 to 6 leaves)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar, adjust to taste
  • 3 ice cubes 2 to 3 or as needed

for garnishing (optional)

  • 2 fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • Add the sliced watermelon, mint leaves, lime juice and honey to a high power blender.
  • Blend until smooth!
  • Add ice cubes to serving glass cups and transfer the prepared watermelon mint juice to the glass cups.
    Serve with added mint leaves for garnishing, if desired.
  • Make sure to enjoy the refreshing watermelon mint juice immediately for best results. You may store in refrigerator for one to two days if needed. For longer storage, you may transfer the juice to ice cube trays and store in the freezer.
