Place the cauliflower florets in a medium sized saucepan.
Add water, make sure the water level is barely above the level of cauliflower florets.
Sprinkle salt and bring the mixture to a boil in high heat.
Once the water begins to boil, reduce the heat to medium and boil the cauliflower florets for another 3 minutes until tender.
If you boil the cauliflower florets for more time, they can get too soft and mushy. If you are using fresh cauliflower florets, you need to boil only for about 2 minutes.
Using a long slotted spoon, carefully transfer the boiled cauliflower to serving plate.
Add the olive oil and black pepper powder for seasoning (if using), enjoy as a vegetable side dish with any meal including lunch or dinner!
