Sauteed Broccoli In Instant Pot

Sauteed broccoli in about 10 minutes with garlic is simple to make, healthy and delicious to be enjoyed as it is, or enjoy it as a side with rice or any flatbread. The sauteed broccoli recipe using instant pot will also give you an idea on how to make sauteed vegetables in instant pot.

  • 1 Broccoli head medium sized
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder


  • Wash the broccoli and separate the florets. You may cut the florets a little, but do not cut it very small as we need slightly medium sized florets to make the crunchy, delicious sauteed or stir fried broccoli.
  • Press saute button in instant pot and add the oil.
  • Once the oil is hot (about half a minute), carefully add the broccoli florets also to the instant pot.
  • Add salt and saute the broccoli until the broccoli starts to turn brown, stirring occasionally using a long spatula. This took about 5 minutes for me, you may need to watch after 4 minutes.
  • If you need to adjust the heating, you can press on the saute button again in instant pot duo (usually it will be set to 'normal' which is the preferred mode) to change between low, normal & high sauteeing modes. In instant pot Lux, you can use the 'adjust' button to change this. I only used the 'normal' sauteeing mode for sauteeing the broccoli florets.
  • Once the broccoli is sauteed, press cancel button to stop sauteeing, add garlic powder and black pepper powder, stir well. Transfer the sauteed broccoli from the instant pot to serving dish or another safe plate or bowl immediately, to avoid further cooking.


Serve the roasted or sauteed broccoli with white rice or brown rice for lunch or dinner, or enjoy it as it is, it is truly delicious!
