Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons 100% Pure Maple syrup 

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cut the strawberries in half lengthwise.
  • Toss the strawberries with maple syrup and lay them in a single layer in a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Check to see if the strawberries have become soft and juicy. Baking time in different ovens can vary slight, so if you think you want the strawberries more soft and juicy, you may bake it for little more time.
    The fresh, roasted strawberry sauce is ready and you can use it warm or chilled as you like.

Notes

The roasted strawberry sauce is very sweet and full of flavor you can use it as it is for fillings and toppings if you prefer strawberry chunks in your strawberry sauce.
If you prefer a smooth texture for your filling or topping, you can easily puree the roasted strawberries in a blender and use it as the filling or strawberry topping as you wish!
