Peach Smoothie With Yogurt - Peach Lassi

Creamy and delicious homemade peach smoothie with yogurt and milk makes a very easy, simple & refreshing drink for summer or anytime you have got ripe peaches!
This peach smoothie is prepared the same way that we prepare mango lassi which is Indian style mango smoothie!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium sized yellow peaches (ripe) chilled (about 2 cups when sliced)
  • 1 cup yogurt chilled
  • ½ cup whole milk chilled
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or use a pinch of cardamom powder as we use in lassi)
  • ½ cup ice cubes (may skip or reduce the amount or add more if you want it more frosty)

Instructions

  • Wash the peaches very well, peel the skin off and remove the seeds.
    Slice the peaches in medium sized pieces.

  • Transfer the sliced peaches to a blender.
    Add milk, yogurt, sugar, vanilla extract and ice cubes also to the blender.

  • Blend until smooth.

  • Transfer the drink to glasses, serve immediately for best results.
    If serving later, keep the peach smoothie chilled in the refrigerator until time of serving. May add more ice cubes or sugar as you please!

Notes

if using flavored yogurt like vanilla yogurt instead of plain yogurt, you may skip the vanilla extract and also adjust the amount of sugar since the flavored yogurts are usually sweetened.
