how to cook sona masoori rice
  • Close the instant pot with lid in sealing position, cook in high pressure for 20 minutes for perfectly cooked, but firm rice with chewy texture (al dente rice).
For more softer rice, you may cook for about 23 to 25 minutes or even upto 27 to 28 minutes depending on how soft you want your rice.
Once the cooking is done, wait for a natural pressure release. If needed, you may carefully do a controlled gradual manual pressure release after about 12 to 14 minutes of natural pressure release.
Once the pressure is all released, carefully open the lid.
