  • 2 cups oats I used old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional

  • Add the oatmeal to a saucepan.
  • Add water and milk, mix well with the oats.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and cook the oats for about 2 minutes until the oats is almost cooked and soft. Make sure to stir in between so the oats won't get burnt at the bottom of the pan.
  • Add fresh blueberries (washed well) to the pan and stir well to combine with the oats.
  • Continue cooking the oats & blueberries for another couple of minutes until the oats is soft and the blueberries also turn soft.
  • Mash some of the blueberries with a large spoon so the blueberry flavor will blend with the oats easily.
  • Also add honey & vanilla extract to the oatmeal, mix everything well to combine and serve the delicious blueberry oatmeal warm!
