Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized peaches (ripe yellow peaches)
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract may add more once the milk is made, for more flavor
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder may add more once the milk is made, for more flavor
  • 3 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste, add more if needed after you prepare the milk

Instructions

  • Wash the peaches very well, peel, discard the pit and slice into very small pieces.
  • Keep about one tablespoon of chopped fresh peacheas (mixed with a little cinnamon & sugar if you like) in the refrigerator for garnishing (optional).
  • If you keep this outside, the peaches can change in color. Adding cinnamon and little sugar makes the flavors perfect for the peaches.
  • Add the remaining chopped peaches to a medium sized saucepan.
  • Also add the sugar, mix well with the peaches.
  • As the sugar dissolves, add cinnamon and cook the peaches in low to medium heat. This only takes a couple of minutes. Keep stirring often so the contents won't get burnt.
  • Once done, switch off the stove and mash the peaches using a potato masher, to make the peach syrup for the peach milk. Little chunks of peaches are perfectly fine as it adds more flavor and texture to the milk.
  • However, if you wish to make this a smooth peach syrup, you can mash the peaches really well or puree the contents if needed.
  • Once the peach syrup is made, add milk, heavy cream, vanilla and cinnamon powder.
  • Mix the contents very well. You may taste the peach milk and see if more sugar is needed (some peaches may not be very sweet so the amount of sugar needed can slightly vary).
  • Based on your preference, you may add little more milk, vanilla cinnamon and sugar as you desire. I like to add a little extra cinnamon in mine!
  • Mix everything well, chill the milk in refrigerator, then transfer to glass cups and garnish with fresh sliced peaches if you like. Serve immediately for best results or you can keep it stored in glass jars or bottles in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  • If serving later, make sure to stir this well before serving!
This homemade peach milk will keep fresh in the refrigerator for a couple of days if stored properly.
