2maraschino cherriesor pineapple wedges for garnishing (optional)
Place the canned pineapple (sliced pineapple along with the juice in the can) in a high power blender (If using fresh pineapple slices, you can add that).
Also add the thick coconut milk (or coconut cream) & vanilla extract & honey.
Add the chilled pineapple juice or chilled water & also the ice cubes (if using) in the blender.
Blend the contents until very smooth, creamy and frothy.
Transfer the prepared pina colada drink to glass cup and garnish with maraschino cherries or pineapple wedges.
Enjoy immediately for best results! If you keep the pina colada smoothie in warm room temperature for more time, the smoothie may curdle and lose it's texture, so make sure to serve this immediately as soon as it is prepared!
