½cuppeaches or nectarines ripe, sliced (peeled and pit discarded)
Instructions
Add peach ice cream to a good quality blender, and also you may add slices of ripe peaches or nectarines, if using (this is optional) for extra flavor.
Add sugar, milk, vanilla and cinnamon (if using) also to the blender.
Blend until the contents are well blended and frothy!
Transfer the prepared peach milkshake to glass cups and you may top with whipped cream and maraschino cherries if you desire.
Serve immediately for best results!
Notes
Keep in mind that since peaches have a strong flavor, if you use both peach ice cream and fresh peaches or nectarines (or frozen or canned peaches), the milkshake will have slightly strong flavor of peaches. If you do not want a strong peachy flavor, you only need to use the ice cream (or only fruits if that is what you prefer) in the recipe.
Substitute Ideas For Peach Ice Cream
If you do not have peach ice cream, you can substitute peach ice cream with vanilla ice cream and use one fresh peach (that is peeled, sliced and pit removed). You can make this just using fresh peaches and vanilla ice cream to make creamy peach milkshake if you want to keep it simple and use just 2 ingredients. You may also use peach extract (½ teaspoon), peach syrup (about 2 tablespoons), peach preserves etc along with vanilla ice cream if you do not have fresh peach or peach ice cream, to get the peach flavor!
