Wash the cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes very well, slice in halves and add to a large bowl.
Also slice fresh mozzarella cheese and add to the tomatoes in the bowl. You may slice the cheese in cubes or just slice them in small sized chunks as you like.
Add basil leaves (leave them whole or slice if you wish), salt, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, toss everything together until evenly combined.
Garnish with a few fresh basil leaves if desired! Serve immediately for best results or make sure to refrigerate if serving after a while.
