- 1 lbs penne pasta
- salt adjust to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz shredded cheese cheddar, Mexican blend etc 8 oz
- 8 oz tomato basil jar sauce
Place the penne pasta shells in the instant pot.
Add salt, garlic, water and olive oil, gently mix.
Close the instant pot with lid in sealing position. Cook in high pressure for 1 minute.
Once the cooking is done, press 'cancel' button and wait for a natural pressure for at least 12 to 15 minutes.
Once it's done, you may manually release the remaining pressure carefully and gradually.
Once the pressure is all released, carefully open the instant pot.
Add heavy cream, cheese, seasoning and tomato basil pasta sauce, carefully mix in with the pasta without breaking the shells.
Serve the creamy and cheesy penne pasta in tomato basil sauce for a delicious, easy and quick lunch or dinner!
