Soft cheese sandwich can be easily made in microwave oven using delicious potato bread (or white sandwich bread or any of your favorite breads), cheese and seasonings (optional)!
2bread slicesI used soft potato bread, you may use any bread you prefer
4tablespoonsshredded cheeseor 2 cheese slices
Optional Ingredients
1teaspoongarlic powder
2teaspoonsbutterat room temperature, which can be spread on the bread
Instructions
Slice off the edges of the bread if you wish (I usually don't do this for potato bread as they are soft in texture).
If using butter, spread the butter evenly on one slice of bread. You can use a butter knife to do this easily.
Add the cheese (shredded or sliced) on top of the buttered bread.
Now spread the butter on the other slice of the bread too.
If using garlic powder or any other seasoning, sprinkle those on both slices of bread if you like flavored cheese sandwich.
Gently press the bread slices with the butter knife and put the second slice of bread on top of the other bread slice with cheese and gently press the slices together.
Microwave on high for 30 seconds or few more seconds until the cheese is melted.
Let the cheese sandwich cool for a few seconds, serve and enjoy for breakfast, lunch or snack! If you wish the sandwich to be toasted, you may heat an iron skillet (lightly greased with butter or oil), place the sandwich on the skillet once it's hot and then toast the sandwich on both sides for few seconds until they are lightly browned.
