Place the corn ear (make one at a time for best results even if you have more than one corn ears to microwave) in a microwave safe good quality plate.
Microwave in high heat for 3 minutes.
Open the microwave, carefully flip the corn ear (it will be hot, so you may use a tong).
Once the corn ear is flipped, microwave in high heat for another 2 minutes so the corn on the cob is well cooked, evenly on both sides!
Once the corn on the cob is done, the corn kernels will look plump and will be soft!
Allow the microwave corn on the cob to cool down for a few minutes, add the seasonings (if using), enjoy!
I often use mini frozen corn ear to make this microwave corn on the cob which works well with this method. I only cook one frozen mini corn ear in the microwave, at a time, to make sure the corn ear is cooked even.
If you use fresh corn with husks too, this method will work!
Depending on the size of the corn ear and also depending on if it's fresh or frozen corn, you may need to adjust the cooking time one minute more or less.
As I mentioned earlier, once completed cooked, the corn kernels will look plump and soft when touched so you can know for sure if it's done!
If it's not done to your preference, you may microwave the corn ear for an additonal minute and see if it's done.
