Fried Caramelized Cabbage And Onions (Without Bacon)
Fried cabbage with onions is delicious caramelized shredded cabbage and onions perfect to be served as a Southern vegetable side dish with lunch or dinner & any holiday meals like Thanksgiving!

2 cups shredded cabbage (about ¼th of a medium size cabbage) 1 large onions sliced salt adjust to taste 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic finely minced 1 teaspoon paprika 1 tablespoon lemon juice 3 tablespoons olive oil or use melted butter
Add the shredded cabbage and sliced onions to a large pan or skillet.
Also add salt, garlic and olive oil (or melted butter), stir well to combine.
Cook in medium heat for about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage and onions are softened.
Add paprika and lemon juice, mix well to combine with the cabbage and onions and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the cabbage is cooked.
Once the cabbage is cooked, stir fry the cabbage for another 2 to 3 minutes until the cabbage and onions are lightly fried and lightly browned.
Continue frying for few more minutes in low heat until the cabbage and onions are well fried and caramelized.
