- 2 cups watermelon sliced chilled, make sure seeds are removed if not using seedless watermelon
- 1 cup pineapple sliced chilled (taken from ripe, sweet pineapple) or use canned pineapples
- 2 cups water chilled
- 3 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste (optional)
Add the watermelon slices, pineapple slices and sugar to a blender (if using canned pineapples, you can add pineapple slices as well as any juice in it).
Also add the water and blend until smooth.
Filter the prepared drink through a fine mesh strainer or smoothie press to remove any residue from fresh pineapples (this is not needed if you are using canned pineapples).
Transfer the juicy smoothie to serving glass tumblers or cups (add ice cubes if desired) and serve immediately for best results!
If you are saving this juicy smoothie for serving later on the day, make sure to keep it chilled in the refrigerator until ready to serve and also you can serve this along with lots of ice cubes, especially if you are taking this outdoors.
If you double or triple the quantity and make large batches of drink, it's a good idea to freeze it if you are not serving on the same day.
You can transfer the juice or smoothie to ice cube trays for more longer storage.
