Ingredients

  • 800 grams hokkien noodles I used two 14.2 oz instant packages with each package having two 7.1 oz pouches of noodles
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ cup dried minced onions
  • salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 oz sweet peas green peas (I used frozen)
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • Add the frozen sweet peas to a pot or pan or wok (ideally a wok is recommended but it is not necessary here).
  • Also add salt and garlic, cook in medium heat until the water is all evaporated from the frozen peas (if you are using fresh peas, you don't need to wait for water to evaporated so you can directly go to the next step).
  • Add 2 tablespoons of oil and dried minced onions, mix well with the sweet peas.
  • Stir fry the contents for about 2 to 3 minutes until the peas is almost cooked.
  • Add the noodles from the pouches, and also add the water to the pan.
  • Cover the pan with lid and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Open the pan and toss the noodles so the noodles will be separated (we used pre-cooked noodles here which sticks together in the pouch).
  • Add soy sauce, butter and the remaining one tablespoon of oil, stir to combine with the noodles.
  • Stir fry the noodles for another 2 more minutes until all ingredients are combined evenly.
  • Serve hot with sides or toppings like fried eggs, scrambled eggs, other proteins, vegetables like lettuce or any veggies, tofu etc as you like for a really quick, easy, simple and delicious dinner.
