Overripe plums are often softer and sweeter than fresh ones, which makes them perfect for cooking and baking instead of eating raw, although you can absolutely enjoy them raw as well as they are delicious on it's own to simply enjoy as a snack, or to make fresh juice or salads or smoothies. If your plums are too soft or starting to wrinkle, don’t throw them away as they’re great for making homemade jam, drinks like juices and smoothies, salads and desserts!
