If you have never tried chamomile tea before and if you want to try, you might wonder what does chamomile tea taste like. As a short answer, I will say that chamomile tea taste very mild and light, with a light scented and flowery, earthy taste to it.
What Does Chamomile Tea Taste Like - Real Taste Of Chamomile Flower Tea
The taste of chamomile tea is not at all bitter, unless you add a whole lot f tea bags than the norm.
The tea is lightly yellow tinted and the mild flowery taste and scent of chamomile tea comes from real chamomile flowers. If you are familiar with chamomile flowers, you know what I am talking about.
Other than the regular chamomile tea which is naturally caffeine free, this also comes in many different flavors like honey vanilla flavored chamomile tea, citrus chamomile tea, ginger chamomile tea, chamomile and lavender tea and many more flavors.
You may also add more flavors to the chamomile tea if you wish.
For example, stirring in a spoon of raw honey and adding a pinch of ginger powder can make it more delicious and exotic.
Chamomile flowers are very pretty flowers with white petals and yellow center and they have a very mild and pleasant scent.
Chamomile tea is generally made from dried chamomile flowers and you can buy these as tea bags.
I usually use one or two tea bags for a cup of water which is steeped in boiling water or very hot water for about 8 minutes which is enough to make the perfect cup of chamomile tea.
If you want a mild tea, just use one tea bag, if you want a more strong flavor, you can try using two chamomile tea bags.
Chamomile flowers are herbal flowers with many medicinal uses and so chamomile tea, which is a herbal tea made from chamomile flowers too have medicinal properties.
Chamomile flowers are known for its relaxing properties, and chamomile tea can also help you to relax and calm down and to generally feel better.
Chamomile tea is used a lot for sleeping problems, as the chamomile tea helps you to sleep relaxed.
Chamomile tea is also known to reduce muscle cramps and help with reducing stress, relieving anxiety and much more.
Just like any other herbal teas, if you are taking chamomile tea for the first time, be cautious about any allergic reactions or side effects, although this may be rare. Also if you are taking any medications, it is best to check with your doctor before you try any new herbal tea, including chamomile tea.
If you are pregnant or nursing also, be sure to check with your doctor before trying chamomile tea.
As I mentioned above, the taste of chamomile tea is very mild and pleasant, however, I like to enjoy chamomile tea with a spoon of honey mixed in it, which makes it mildly sweet and delicious.
Although chamomile tea is very mild in taste, some people may not like the taste, but adding a spoon of honey can really take it to the next level, which most will enjoy I think.
