If you don't have instant coffee powder but you have espresso coffee, just substitute the instant coffee with espresso coffee that you have to make this delicious and creamy latte!

instant coffee powder (or flakes) 2 teaspoons

As I mentioned, if you have espresso coffee, you can easily replace the instant coffee with espresso coffee in this recipe. So how do you do that? In this recipe for instant eggnog latte using instant coffee, we use ¾ cup water and 2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder. Just replace the water and instant coffee with ½ cup freshly brewed espresso (about 2 double shots). If you have espresso machine at home, you can also make the eggnog latte in the espresso machine and espresso coffee if you prefer it that way!

step by step instructions to make instant eggnog coffee latte in microwave
Step 1 - Add the water to a microwave safe coffee mug or glass cup.

Step 2 - Add instant coffee, maple syrup, vanilla and nutmeg, mix in using a spoon.



Step 3 - Heat in the microwave for about 1 minute.

Step 4 - Stir well using a spoon and heat for another 40 seconds.

Step 5 - Now add the eggnog also to the cup and stir well to combine with the rest of the ingredients.



Step 6 - Top with cinnamon powder and enjoy the eggnog latte while it's still hot or warm, or serve chilled whichever way you like!


If serving chilled, make sure to stir the contents before serving and maybe you can add ice cubes also to make it a cold latte!

- Heat the mixture in medium heat while stirring frequently. Once the contents are heated well and almost frothy in texture transfer the saucepan to a cooler place.
- Carefully pour the contents to a coffee mug, add eggnog and stir in well to combine, top with cinnamon powder and serve hot (or chilled as you wish)!
