Milk coffee is simple, easy homemade coffee drink made using coffee & milk. Instant milk coffee is delicious and super easy to make at home using instant coffee powder, milk and sugar.

Instead of milk, you may also use evaporated milk or condensed milk or your favorite coffee creamer as you like. Also, if you want it dairy free or vegan, you may use almond milk also to make the coffee!

This kind of simple coffee recipe is a great way to make creamy and delicious coffee without coffee creamer, if you have fresh milk or any milk substitutes at home.

Is instant coffee good or bad for you?

Instant coffee is popularly used across the world in many drinks and recipes.

Instant coffee has many advantages and disadvantages with regards to health, if you compare it with fresh roasted coffee.

The advantage is that instant coffee has less caffeine which is good news if you are trying to reduce caffeine intake.

On the other hand, instant coffee is said to have more of a chemical called acrylamide than regular coffee, which may not be a good thing.

To make coffee taste good without coffee creamer, you can use milk or any milk substitutes mentioned here.

If you want to make coffee without milk, you can just make plain black coffee and adjust the amount of sweetener as you like.

Adding honey or maple syrup helps to make the coffee taste good without coffee creamer.

Similarly, adding cinnamon, lemon (to make lemon coffee) etc are good ideas if you want simple flavored black coffee.

To make coffee taste good without coffee creamer, it is a good idea not to make the coffee too strong and use a sweeter if you like, so it will not taste bitter.

However, we can just use whole milk as a substitute to coffee creamer to make simple homemade coffee without coffee creamer.

If you want to make dairy free, vegan milk coffee, you can use plant based milk alternatives like almond milk which works too.

To make easy, delicious instant coffee with milk, we use the following ingredients.

whole milk ¾ cup

sugar 2 tablespoons

instant coffee powder 1 teaspoon

Step by step instructions

In a saucepan, add the water.

Also add the milk, instant coffee powder and sugar, mix well.

Heat the mixture while you stir the contents often, so it won’t burn a the bottom of the saucepan.

Once the mixture is heated the milk coffee is ready, so carefully pour the hot coffee to a coffee mug, enjoy!

Add the water, milk, sugar and instant coffee powder to a microwave safe coffee mug. Make sure to use a larger sized mug so it won’t fill to the top of the mug (it is a good idea to fill only upto about ¾th of the mug or cup to avoid any spills in the microwave).

Microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Once it is done, carefully take the mug out from the microwave oven, stir well using a spoon so the sugar is well dissolved in the coffee. Enjoy the delicious coffee!

To make iced milk coffee, allow the prepared coffee to cool down to room temperature.

Once it is cooled, transfer to the refrigerator and chill the coffee.

Once the coffee is well chilled, add ice cubes to a glass cup and pour the chilled coffee over the ice, enjoy!
