What is sliced egg salad sandwich?

Egg slice sandwich or sliced egg salad sandwich is a simple, delicious and creamy sandwich made using slices of hard boiled eggs.

We make a simple, basice sandwich using sliced hard boiled egg, however, you may also add more ingredients or use a difference spread as you like.

I used toasted white bread to make the sandwich, but you may use wheat bread too.

For the best results, make sure to toast the bread for the sandwich.

We also use a creamy spread like mayonnaise or ranch which goes very well in this sandwich.

The flavors of mayo and ranch are perfect for boiled egg salad sandwiches like this sliced egg sandwich or simple hard boiled egg sandwiches.

We also add cheese and black pepper to make this simple sandwich so delicious!

I have also made this easy hard boiled egg sandwich which is another easy way to make an egg salad sandwich using hard boiled eggs!

The total calories in this sliced egg salad sandwich is slightly higher than the calories of the other hard boiled egg sandwich, because we also use cheese here and the ingredients I used are slightly different in both recipes.

How to slice eggs to make sliced egg salad sandwich?

You can easily slice hard boiled eggs using an egg slicer.

You may also slice eggs without egg slicer, using a good quality knife.

A normal paring knife is just perfect to slice the eggs to make the sliced egg salad sandwich!

However, if the yellow part of the boiled egg yolk fall apart a bit while you slice the boiled egg, you can get put the contents back using a spoon.

After all, it is an egg salad sandwich which is combined with the creamy spread, so it is totally fine even if the egg is not sliced perfectly!

How to make sliced egg salad sandwich?

To make egg slice sandwich or sliced egg salad sandwich, we need the following ingredients.

boiled eggs 1

bread slices 2

ranch dressing or mayo 2 tablespoons

cheese slice 1

black pepper powder ¼ teaspoon

for garnishing (optional)

boiled egg 1 sliced

Step by step instructions

Toast one slice of bread in a pan until both sides are lightly toasted.

Place the toasted bread in a plate and top with ranch dressing or mayo.

Slice the boiled egg and place 3 to 4 egg slices (depending on the size of egg slice and also the bread), across the bread on top of the ranch spread or mayo.

Sprinkle with black pepper powder.

Now toast one side of the second bread in the pan.

Flip the bread and place the cheese slice on top, then toast the other side of the bread too until the cheese is beginning to melt.

Once the cheese is beginning to melt, take the toasted bread with cheese carefully and place it on top of the other bread slice with egg slices, to make the creamy, delicious egg slice sandwich!

For garnishig, you may just serve the sandwich with the other boiled egg on side or slice the other boiled egg too and place a few slices on top of the sandwich and remaining on the side of the plates and sprinkle with black pepper powder.

Serve hot for breakfast, brunch or lunch for best results!
