how long to cook fusilli pasta?

fusilli vs rotini pasta
Fusilli is similar to rotini pasta in shape because they both are spiral shaped, but they are not the same. In general, fusilli pasta shells have more wider spirals compared to rotini pasta. In this recipe, I am using long fusilli pasta, which is more like noodles or spaghetti, but they are also spiral shaped long noodles.
substitute for fusilli pasta noodles:
If you do not have fusilli pasta noodles, you may use regular spaghetti noodles but I recommend cooking spaghetti for 3 minutes instead of 2 minutes as used in fusilli. Depending on what type of noodles you use to substitute fusilli noodles, you have to slightly adjust the cooking time. For example, if you use thin noodles, you may only need to cook in high pressure for 1 minute or the pasta can get overcooked. For stove top cooking, always follow package instructions for specific noodles. If you are looking to substitute regular fusilli pasta (instead of long noodles), you can easily subtitute fusilli with rotini pasta.
