Creamy Pasta Noodles In White Cheesy Pasta Sauce

This cheesy pasta noodles made using barilla thin spaghetti or any similar thin spaghetti noodles in creamy white cheese sauce is silky and smooth in texture and it's kid friendly meal as well.

I have also added some green sweet peas to the spaghetti to add some color & also to enhance the flavor and nutrition of the creamy & delicious pasta! I have also made instant pot buttered egg noodles, creamy no meat spaghetti noodles in instant pot, & easy, delicious teriyaki broccoli pasta (spaghetti) noodles which are also delicious, simple instant pot vegetarian recipes! Keep in mind that these noodles are slightly thinner than regular spaghetti noodles but it is not very fine noodles like angel hair pasta or fine egg noodles.

So make sure not to use angel hair pasta or fine egg noodles for this recipe, as they can turn overcooked. This creamy spaghetti noodles in cheesy white sauce is perfect if you want something so simple, filling & delicious for dinner, lunch or brunch.

It also makes a great side dish with any meal with any other main course dishes if you have a party (like a birthday party for kids) or if you have guests for dinner even when you have a big party or crowd! The fact that this cheesy spaghetti made using thin spaghetti noodles is made of just noodles & cheese as the main ingredients, it is very kid friendly and you can always add more ingredients to suit your taste. In this cheesy noodles, I added som frozen peas (you may also use fresh peas) to keep it kid friendly while adding some veggies to enhance the flavor and nutrition. However, you may also add more ingredients like chopped onions, chopped parsley leaves etc if you like to add more flavors!

Also, I cooked this cheesy noodles in plain water, but you may use broth like vegetable broth or any broth of your choice for more flavor.

thin spaghetti noodles vs angel hair pasta noodles

If you haven't tried thin spaghetti noodles before, you might be wondering if thin spaghetti noodles is the same as angel hair pasta noodles. Actually, they are not the same. Angel hair pasta is even thinner and finer noodles than thin spaghetti noodles. So I do not recommend using angel hair pasta in this recipe, since the angel hair pasta noodles will get cook more faster in the instant pot and probably it can turn mushy if you overcook.

how long to cook thin spaghetti noodles in instant pot?

creamy thin spaghetti noodles instant pot

In the instant pot, we set a cooking time of 2 minutes in high pressure, followed by a natural pressure release of 12 minutes to cook this delicious thin spaghetti noodles. If you are using regular spaghetti noodles (if you do not have thin spaghetti noodles), you may set the time for three minutes which is an additional one more minute of cooking.

can you replace thin spaghetti noodles with regular spaghetti noodles or egg noodles?

As I mentioned above, if you wish, you may replace the thin spaghetti noodles with regular spaghetti noodles in this recipe. However, the cooking time will slightly vary since the regular spaghetti noodles is a bit thicker than the thin spaghetti noodles. If you are using regular spaghetti noodles, set the timer to 3 minutes which is one minute more cooking time than thin spaghetti noodles. I didn't test this recipe for egg noodles, however you can make delicious buttered egg noodles in instant pot following this easy recipe!

You may also use other varieties of pasta to make cheesy pasta, but the cooking times can all slightly vary based on the kind of pasta, so I highly recommend sticking with thin spaghetti noodles for this recipe, so you can make it perfect! So here is how you can make cheesy thin spaghetti noodles in the instant pot following this recipe.
