Since very soft sandwich bread types get soggy in the microwave, make sure to use a thick crust bread for this recipe, whether you use white bread, wheat bread or potato bread. Rustic breads, rye bread, sourdough bread, french breads like baguette etc works great as well as they hold well in the microwave without losing the texture.

And make sure to choose your favorite chocolate candies for this recipe, whether its milk chocolate or dark chocolate or even white chocolate.

I used large sized thick crust wheat bread slices so I had enough space to arrange few hershey candies in the middle. Based on the size of the bread slices you use and the type of chocolates you have, you can arrange the candies easily on the bread slices and melt in the microwave oven to quickly make delicious microwave chocolate sandwich!

how long to melt chocolate candy in microwave?

In general, it just takes about 45 seconds to microwave chocolate candies like chocolate squares or small chocolate candies like hersheys. However, based on the type of the chocolate candy you use, if it's not completely melted by the time (keep in mind that chocolate will continue to soften and melt on it's own from the residue heat after you give few seconds to cool off) you may heat the chocolate for few more seconds.
