    Chia seed pudding with yogurt makes easy, creamy, delicious and healthy chia seed pudding perfect for breakfast or light evening snack or even a light dessert! I used sweetened homemade honey greek vanilla yogurt but you can use plain yogurt (greek yogurt or regular yogurt) and add honey to sweeten the yogurt and also add vanilla extract if you wish, to flavor the chia seed yogurt pudding!

    what type of yogurt is best to make yogurt chia seed pudding?

    Any creamy yogurt is great to make yogurt chia seed pudding. I perfer honey sweetened vanilla flavored yogurt to make this chia seed pudding, as that gives the best flavors. If you like to use Greek yogurt, that's the best options since that's even more cremier in texture and more protein rich. I used homemade honey sweetened vanilla greek yogurt which is perfect in this recipe, but you can also use plain whole milk yogurt (use whole milk yogurt for the best results, but if you are trying to be more cautious about the fat content you may use low fat yogurt as well) which can be sweetened with honey and flavor with vanilla extract! More easy, delicious recipes using yogurt includes greek yogurt substitute for sour cream (recipe), strawberry yogurt, fluffy yogurt vanilla cake, greek yogurt pancakes etc!

    chia seeds 2 teaspoons

    honey vanilla yogurt 1 cup (I use sweetened honey yogurt with vanilla flavor)

    whole milk ½ cup (may use little more to adjust to preferred consistency)

    Optional ingredients if using plain yogurt:

    honey 2 tablespoons (if using unsweetened yogurt)

    vanilla extract ½ teaspoon

    step by step instructions to make creamy yogurt chia seed pudding with honey

    Step 1 - Place the yogurt in a bowl or cup or jar (I used sweetened honey vanilla yogurt).

    Step 2 - Stir well and add the chia seeds (add more yogurt if desired).

    Step 3 - Also add the milk and stir again (And now add the vanilla and honey if you are using plain yogurt).

    Step 4 - Stir well to combine all ingredients.

    Step 5 - Refrigerate the contents overnight or about 12 hours. Stir well (right before serving) and serve chilled!

    Stir in more honey or top with fruits like raisins, sliced strawberries, bananas, blueberries etc if you wish!
