To make the most creamy and delicious, frosty smoothie, make sure to use frozen banana slices.

You can freeze the banana slices (sliced thin and freezed) ahead of preparing this smoothie, to make really frozen, chilled and frosty smoothies that makes you feel refreshed even on very hot summer days.

However, if you do not want a very frosty and thick smoothie, you can use fresh, chilled bananas that are roughly sliced, which is what I often do unless I want a very frosty, thick smoothie.

Though you may use any kind of peanut butter that you have, including chunky peanut butter, it is a good idea to use creamy peanut butter to make smoothies since it blends really well in the smoothie.

As I mentioned before, it is also a great idea to add one tablespoon of cocoa powder or two tablespoons of chocolate syrup if you want to make chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie!

If you are a coffee lover, also feel free to add about one teaspoon of instant coffee powder to make delicious coffee peanut butter banana smoothie that is even more perfect for busy mornings if you want to drink your coffee with the smoothie!

So here is how you can make easy, delicious and creamy peanut butter banana smoothie at home.

    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
    • 2 large bananas ripe, chilled or frozen slices
    • 2 cups milk chilled
    • ¼ cup pure fresh maple syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instructions

    • Add the roughly sliced bananas (chilled or frozen sliced bananas) to the blender.
    • Also add the creamy peanut butter, chilled milk, pure fresh maple syrup and vanilla extract.
    • Blend until the contents are smooth.
    • Transfer to glass cups, serve immediately for best results!

    Notes

If you want a thick, frosty textured smoothie, make sure to use frozen sliced bananas.
You can slice the ripe bananas in advance and transfer the slices to a ziploc bag and keep in the freezer so you can use that to make this smoothie.
If there is no frozen banana slices, chilled bananas work just fine, which is what I personally prefer.
