Perfect Berry & Peanut Butter Chocolate Smoothie Drink

Blueberry smoothie with fresh or frozen blueberries, creamy peanut butter and cocoa powder makes one of the best, easy, nutritious, protein rich fruit smoothies for breakfast or snack.

If you have frozen blueberries, they are great for making homemade berry smoothies. However, I have used fresh blueberries here, which too works great for this smoothie. I recommend using creamy peanut butter to make smoothies as it is easy to blend and gives a smooth texture for the drink. In this blueberry smoothie recipe, we do not use bananas, so we must add something to add the required sweetness for the smoothie.

I have used pure fresh maple syrup as the sweetner here, but you may also use honey or any sweetener that you prefer.
Blueberry Peanut Butter Smoothie Without Yogurt Or Bananas
In this smoothie recipe, we do not use any yogurt or bananas. Smoothies are usually made thicker in texture by using frozen fruits including bananas or creamy yogurt. However, when you use nut butters like peanut butter, that will help you to make the perfect, creamy smoothie even without using bananas or yogurt or even frozen fruits.
Tips to make perfect blueberry peanut butter smoothie

When you make blueberry smoothie, the smoothie tends to thicken further as soon as it is made and so if you use too less liquid, the smoothie tends to be too thick in texture.
So make sure to use enough milk (or any plant based milk alternatives as you prefer) to make the smoothie and if you feel the smoothie is too thick to your preference, you may even add a little more milk and blend once again.

Also you can add more sweetener if the sweetness if less for your preference, and blend again to suit your taste!
