    homemade peanut butter milkshake

Peanut butter milkshake is simple, naturally rich in protein, easy to make at home and it is creamy and delicious too! Milkshakes can be made with or without ice cream and this is an easy, simple peanut butter milkshake without ice cream. In fact, this is one of the most simple, easy drinks you can make at home using creamy peanut butter as the main ingredient and it is perfect for breakfast or snack. This recipe yields two servings of milkshake with 14 grams of protein in one single serving!

More easy, delicious drinks using peanut butter includes apple peanut butter milkshake, peanut butter banana smoothie, blueberry peanut butter chocolate smoothie, chocolate avocado peanut butter smoothie, chocolate peanut butter banana milkshake and more!

This creamy & delicious milkshake is calorie dense and filling but at the same time it is nutritious and protein rich milkshake since peanuts and peanut butter are natural sources of high protein.

Also, this milkshake is naturally sweetened too since we use pure fresh maple syrup (which is a ntural sweetener) instead of refined white sugar to sweeten the milkshake! So in my opinion this delicious milkshake makes a pretty good, filling breakfast drink (before you drink this, make sure you do not have peanut allergy if you have never tried peanuts before) if you also add some fruits or veggies on the side.

    peanut butter milkshake

Peanuts are high in fat & calorie dense and so peanuts and peanut butter may be enjoyed in moderation. If you don't have peanut allergy, peanuts and peanut butter are great ingredients which makes wonderful snacks and they can be used in many recipes including desserts, drinks and more. You can get more information about peanut butter here.

The best thing is that you can make this drink very quickly even on busy weekday mornings for breakfast or you may enjoy this as a natural protein rich drink after workouts.

creamy peanut butter milkshake without ice cream

This creamy, protein rich milkshake is super easy to make at home if you have peanut butter, milk & sweetener. You can use store bought creamy peanut butter or homemade peanut butter to make this delicious milkshake at home.

In this milkshake recipe without ice cream, I used whole milk & heavy cream to make it more rich & delicious.

You may even use low fat or no fat milk if you wish to reduce the calories. However, if you want to add ice cream to the milkshake, you can always add ice cream to make this even more rich!

    peanut butter milkshake

You may use about 1 cup (adjust the amount to your preference) of vanilla ice cream or peanut butter ice cream or chocolate ice cream (or any suitable flavors) to make it even more flavorful!

    sweeteners for peanut butter milkshake

In this milkshake recipe, I used pure fresh maple syrup to add sweetness to the milkshake. Pure fresh maple syrup is a natural sweetener obtained from the maple trees and it better than using white sugar. You may replace maple syrup with sugar if you wish, or you may also use any other sweeteners like honey, stevia etc based on your preference.

However, I recommend using maple syrup if you have maple syrup in your home, since the combination of peanut butter & maple syrup is awesome and the addition of maple syrup adds a nice natural flavor to the milkshake made using peanut butter! I have this delicious peanut butter maple cookies with self rising flour where I have used creamy peanut butter and maple syrup to make the cookies.

Notes: You may also use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy peanut butter to make the milkshake if you want it to be slightly crunchy in texture. Even with using creamy peanut butter, you may find tiny & grainy pieces of peanuts in the milkshake. If you prefer a very smooth consistency for the milkshake, you may filter the milkshake once it's made and top the milkshake with whipped cream or even ice cream of your choice for a more rich flavor!

how to store peanut butter milkshake?

This delicious and creamy milkshake is best served chilled as soon as it is prepared.

As you keep it for longer, the residue from the peanut butter may sink to the bottom, and so you will need to stir the milkshake well before serving. If you want to serve the milkshake later, it is a good idea to store the milkshake in refrigerator until ready to serve. If you want to store the milkshake for a couple of days or little longer, you may transfer the milkshake to ice cube trays and freeze it and just blend it in the blender again to make a frosty milkshake whenever you want!

can you make peanut butter milkshake without blender?

Well, I think so! You may use a spoon or whisk or electric mixer (if you have) to beat the peanut butter & maple syrup very well. Then add the heavy cream and mix well to combine with the peanut butter & maple syrup mixture.

Add milk to this prepared peanut butter mixture (with cream and maple syrup) and then mix everything very well to make the milkshake without blender. Though this method sounds a little more manual work, it is still possible to make a delicious & creamy milkshake without blender too!

    can you make this vegan?

To make a vegan milkshake using peanut butter, just replace the milk & heavy cream using any vegan options that you may prefer. You may skip the heavy cream altogether & just use any plant based milk if you can't find a vegan version.

You can use cashew milk or cashew cream, coconut milk or almond etc based on what flavor you like the best. For a neutral flavor, I think using almond milk or oat milk will be the best options.

    variations:

    • Add one banana also to this recipe to make more thick and even more creamy and delicious peanut butter banana milkshake!
    • You may add fruits like strawberries (a handfull will be enough for this amount of peanut butter) to make this even more nutritious!
    • Use chocolate syrup instead of heavy cream or use chcolate chips or chocolates to make peanut butter chocolate milkshake.
    • You may also use chocolate ice cream or a little cocoa powder (may need to adjust the sweetness accordingly) to make peanut butter chocolate milkshake.
    • Also you may add instant chocolate milkshake powder or anyother milkshake powder to the mix to make it more flavorful.
