Peanut butter oatmeal variations

This is a simple and delicious peanut butter oatmeal recipe which you can prepare on microwave as well as stove top.

peanut butter oatmeal porridge

There are delicious variations you can make to this oatmeal like adding bananas or strawberries to make it even more delicious and more nutritious.

Peanut butter banana oatmeal

Adding bananas to peanut butter is simple and it makes a delicious twist to this simple oatmeal

If you have fresh, ripe bananas, you can mash one of the bananas (or slice) and add to the oatmeal along with the peanut butter.

You can also top the oatmeal with a few slices of bananas to add more banana flavor.

Peanut butter strawberry oatmeal

Peanut butter strawberry oatmeal is perfect fruity and nutty oatmeal, great for a quick, delicious, nutritious breakfast.

If you love strawberries in oatmeal, just add a few slices of fresh strawberries in your oatmeal once it is cooked and also top the oatmeal with a few slices of strawberries!

Honey as maple syrup substitute

If you do not have pure fresh maple syrup or if you prefer to use honey, you can just substitute maple syrup with honey in this recipe.

After maple syrup, honey makes the best combination with peanut butter and so peanut butter oatmeal sweetened with honey is just as delicious!

Peanut butter substitutes

Though peanut butter is the best to use in this recipe, you may also try using almond butter, sunflower butter, cashew butter etc for different flavors of oatmeal.

Can you make this oatmeal vegan?

peanut butter oatmeal

Yes, actually this oatmeal is prepared in water and we only use milk as an optional ingredient once the oatmeal is prepared.

If you want to keep it dairy free or vegan, just skip the milk and the oatmeal will be still very delicious.

If you wish, you may also use plant based milk alternatives like almond milk, coconut milk etc.
