Pumpkin spice milk is delicious milk flavored with pumpkin and pumpkin spice as the main ingredients.

You can make pumpkin spice milk in different ways, and here in this recipe, you can find one of the most easy & delicious ways to make homemade pumpkin flavored milk.

Pumpkins are technically fruits, which can be used to make great drinks (like popular pumkin spice latte), especially for fall season when pumpkins are in season and abundantly available.

They are also very nutritious and have a lot of health benefits and it is a good source of beta carotene just like other orange colored produces like carrots.

Also it is a good source of other nutrients like minerals and vitamins including Vitamin A, Vitamin E etc!

I love decorating with pumpkins and pumpkin carving as they are so colorful and look so festive easily without much efforts!

We use canned pumpkin puree to make this flavored milk, which is combined with spices like cinnamon and pumpkin spice on stove top to make the base of this delicious fall drink.

We then add milk to this prepared spiced pumpkin mixture to make delicious pumpkin spice milk!

How to make pumpkin spice milk?

To make pumpkin spice milk, we use the following ingredients.

pumpkin puree 2 tablespoons (I used canned pumpkin, you may use fresh too)

water ½ cup

sugar 1 tablespoon

brown sugar 1 tablespoon

pumpkin spice ½ teaspoon

cinnamon powder ¼ teaspoon

vanilla extract 1 teaspoon

milk 2 cups

Step by step instructions

Add the pumpkin puree to a saucepan.

Also add water and mix well.

Heat the mixture in medium heat (make sure to stir to avoid burning at the bottom of the saucepan) and once the mixture begins to boil, add pumpkin spice and cinnamon powder, mix well to combine with the pumkin syrup we are making.

Also add the sugar and brown sugar, stir in to combine.

Switch off the stove and allow the pumpkin syrup mixture to cool down a bit.

Once it is cooled slightly, add milk and vanilla extract and mix in with the pumpkin mixture to make the delicious pumpkin milk.

Transfer to glass cups or jars and serve the pumkin milk warm or chilled as you like!

The pumpkin tends to settle down as the milk sits, so make sure to stir the milk when you are ready to serve!

You may top the pumpkin milk with whipped cream, sprinkles etc if you want to make it more creamy and more decorative!

How to store pumpkin spice milk?

You can store this in the refrigerator where it will stay fresh for another 2 to 3 days if stored right and if you are using fresh ingredients like fresh milk.

You may store this drink in pitchers or glass bottles and store in the refrigerator.

When ready to serve, you can transfer the cold milk to glass cups and always make sure to stir this well just before serving for best results!

If you wish to store this for longer time, you may freeze it by transfering the prepared milk (once cooled) to ice cube trays and store for longer time.

Once you are ready to use, you can just blend the frozen cubes in a good quality blender, like you do for smoothies.

If needed, you may add a little more milk while blending this, and enjoy like a delicious pumpkin smoothie!
