Curry Roasted Cauliflower (Spicy) Using Frozen Florets

Curry roasted cauliflower florets are spicy & delicious. These roasted cauliflower with curry powder & hot sauce is made using frozen cauliflower florets and makes a perfect, easy vegetable side dish for dinner or any meal. These spicy curry roasted cauliflower also makes a great snack on its own! Dip them in any of your favorite sauces but they are even delicious without any sauce too!

Curry roasted cauliflower florets are basically oven roasted or spicy baked cauliflower wings which can be made using fresh cauliflower florets or frozen cauliflower florets.

In this recipe for roasted or baked cauliflower wings using hot sauce & spices, we use frozen cauliflower florets to make the delicious cauliflower wings.

Roasted vegetables are usually very delicious and roasted cauliflower florets are so delicious.

Try this super simple and delicious roasted frozen cauliflower which is coated in mild spices and so its not spicy unlike this spicy curry roasted cauliflower.

Both are made using frozen cauliflower florets from the bag, but these are two different recipes and they taste different as we have used different ingredients to flavor them.

But both of these oven roased cauliflower recipes using frozen cauliflower are delicious!

In this spicy cauliflower recipe, we use a mix of spices including garam masala powder & curry powder and also use hot sauce (sriracha) etc to flavor the baked cauliflower wings.

Also, I have this delicious deep fried cauliflower wings here which is made using a batter of chickpea flour (besan gram flour), frozen cauliflower florets and spices to which you can add any sauce of your choice.

Spices & Sauces

As I mentioned above, we use a mix of different spices and sauces in this recipe.

I used Indian spices like garam masala powder and curry powder along with garlic powder, black pepper powder (and few more they are all listed in the ingredients list).

Also I used hot sauce & soy sauce in the recipe.

These amounts of spices and sauces may be adjusted based on your personal preferences and you can reduce the spiciness by reducing the hot sauce, black pepper, garam masala etc.

So let us see how to make this delicious, easy and spicy curry roasted cauliflower using frozen cauliflower florets (you may use fresh florets too but you will need to reduce the baking time accordingly).

How To Make Curry Roasted Cauliflower?

We use the following ingredients to make spicy curry roasted cauliflower.

  • frozen cauliflower florets 12 oz
  • salt as needed
  • oil 2 tablespoons
  • garlic powder 1 teaspoon
  • black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • cumin seeds powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • curry powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • hot sauce (sriracha) 2 tablespoons
  • soy sauce 1 tablespoon

Step By Step Process

  • Preheat oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Transfer the frozen cauliflower florets to a bowl and add salt, oil and all spice powders (garlic powder, black pepper powder, turmeric, cumin, curry powder and garam masala). Mix everything well uskng a long spoon or spatula.
  • Also add the hot sauce to the florets, mix well to coat the florets.
  • Layer the florets in a single layer in a baking sheet lined with foil or non slip baking mat.
  • Bake in the oven for about 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 450 degree Fahrenheit and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes until the florets begin to brown. The oven temperatures can slightly vary in different ovens so always watch during the final minutes of baking to avoid burning the cauliflower florets.
  • Once done, transfer the baked cauliflower from the hot oven immediately. Finally add the soy sauce, mix in with roasted spicy cauliflower florets using a spoon, and serve hot!

Notes: You may adjust the amount of spices & hot sauce to adjust to your liking. Or you may try different spices or sauces of your preference too.

Keep in mind that these roasted cauliflower florets are spicy, so if you don’t like it spicy or if making for kids, do reduce the spice powders and also reduce the amount of hot sauce according to your preferences.
