I love to serve roasted cauliflower florets along with rice as a side dish and also I love to use them as topping for pasta or pizza.

oven roasted frozen cauliflower

I have this baked cauliflower florets recipe from fresh cauliflower which I used as a topping for Indian style pasta here, but this recipe is more easier than making roasted cauliflower from fresh cauliflower.

Should You Thaw Frozen Cauliflower Florets Before Baking?

In this recipe, no need to thaw them prior to baking them in the oven and so this method is more quicker and you can save time for your dinner preparations!

Even when you have guests for your dinner or if you are making dinner just for your family, this healthy, nutritious, delicious and easy cauliflower roast make the perfect vegetable side dish.

This is one of the most quicker and easiest way of preparing & cooking cauliflower.

We can also make easy, quick, frozen cauliflower curry in instant pot pressure cooker, if you want to make cauliflower curry using frozen cauliflower!

It cannot get more easier than this!

Other than the easiness to prepare roasted frozen cauliflower, another advantage is that you can find the frozen cauliflower florets almost all year round in the stores and they can be stored in the freezer of your refrigerator for a very long time (remember that the fresh cauliflower can last only few days).

They can be purchased from the stores in the frozen form, and you can store in the freezer for much longer time.

So making the roasted cauliflower using frozen cauliflower is so easy & convenient and quick!

No washing, cleaning , cutting or chopping included for the frozen cauliflower florets so the preparation time for roasted frozen cauliflower is close to nil.

In brief, the advantages include convenience, quick and easy to make, very less or close to zero preparation time, very versatile in preparation, goes with almost any kind of meal, vegetarian, vegan so most kinds of diets can include them, healthy, nutritious, wholesome and delicious!

If you have fresh cauliflower, you can find more information on how to freeze cauliflower here, if you wish to freeze cauliflower or want to learn more about freezing cauliflowers in general.

I almost always have a couple of bags of frozen cauliflower in my freezer so we can have roasted veggies for a quick, nutritious side.

In fact, I always have some frozen produce in my freezer to prepare quick and easy meal for my family.

That includes frozen peas, frozen mixed vegetables, frozen broccoli, frozen carrots and most definitely frozen cauliflower and frozen corn!

If you like frozen produce too, try this easy roasted frozen mini corn on the cob and easy instant pot frozen mini corn on the cob with milk & butter (video recipe) as well.

How long to roast frozen cauliflower florets in the oven?

roasted frozen cauliflower

We preheat the oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit and roast the frozen cauliflower florets for about 30 minutes until the edges are slightly browned.

Oven temperatures can slightly vary and you may adjust the time slightly if necessary.

How long does cooked cauliflower last in the fridge?

roasted frozen cauliflower with turmeric

In this recipe, we are use frozen cauliflower, which are roasted in the oven.

Since we use frozen cauliflower, I do not recommend storing this in the fridge for a longer time.

If you are not serving this the same day of preparation, you can store the cooked cauliflower in the refrigerator for another 1 to 2 days.

I do not recommend refreezing the cauliflower for longer storage, since the cauliflower was already in frozen form.

When you use fresh cauliflower, you may store cooked cauliflower in the fridge for about 3 to 4 days and you may store it in the frezer for even longer storage, though this will also depend on any other ingredient that you have used in the recipe.

Spices To Season Cauliflower

I have used here some simple spices based on my personal preferences, and you may adjust the spices based on your preferences too.

I have used turmeric powder as one of the spices to flavor the cauliflower, which makes the cauliflower more colorful by giving a golden yellow color to the florets.

The addition of turmeric also makes it more healthy & tasty. However, adding turmeric is not necessary and you may skip it if you do not have turmeric at home.

To make it more spicy, you may add spices like curry powder if you like (just use a small amount like ½ teaspoon or so if you are using).

So here is how you can make this simple and delicious oven roasted cauliflower using frozen cauliflower florets.

Can You Double This Recipe?

Yes, you can double the recipe if you want more servings. You can use two 12 oz bags of frozen cauliflower if you want to double the recipe.

You will need to increase the amounts of spices, salt, oil, lemon juice etc accordingly, based on your personal preference, if you double this recipe.

However, make sure that when you arrange the cauliflower florets in the baking sheet, they should not be crowded and they should be arranged in a single layer.

If they are crowded, they won’t get roasted properly. So you may use a larger baking sheet or you may bake them in multiple batches if needed.

The baking time, oven temperature etc will remain the same even when you double the recipe.
