How Long To Cook Frozen Broccoli In Air Fryer?
We used frozen baby broccoli florets here, and we cooked them for 10 minutes time in preheated air fryer at 350 degree Fahrenheit.
If you are using regular frozen broccoli florets that are slightly larger in size than baby broccoli florets, you can roast for another 5 more minutes time until they are lightly browned on edges.
If using fresh broccoli florets (regular sized), it is a good idea to check them after the said ten minutes of time to see if it is done to your preference.
What Is Baby Broccoli? Is It The Same As Broccolini?
Baby broccoli is basically small sized broccoli florets. They look and taste the same as broccoli and they are different from broccolini.
They are basically the younger version of regular broccoli.
The baby broccoli florets taste the same as regular broccoli, however the size is smaller than regular broccoli florets and so they are cooked much faster than regular sized broccoli florets.
So here is how you can make easy, simple roasted baby broccoli florets in air fryer quickly.
How To Cook Frozen Baby Broccoli Florets In Air Fryer?
To roast frozen broccoli (baby broccoli florets) in air fryer, we use the following ingredients.
Ingredients
frozen baby broccoli florets 12 oz
salt adjust to taste
olive oil 1 tablespoon
garlic powder ½ teaspoon
onion powder ½ teaspoon
black pepper powder ½ teaspoon
Instructions
Place the frozen broccoli florets (I used baby broccoli which are smaller in size) in a large sized bowl.
Add salt, olive oil and seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper) to the bowl, mix well with the frozen broccoli using a large spoon.
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
Once the air fryer is preheated, add the seasoned frozen broccoli to the air fryer basket carefully.
Arrange the broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket for even cooking (air fryer will be hot since it is preheated so make sure to be careful!).
Press the timer button to set the cooking time to 10 minutes and let the broccoli cook for ten minutes.
Keep in mind that we used baby broccoli florets here, which are smaller in size than regular broccoli florets.
If you are using frozen broccoli florets that are of normal size, which are larger in size than baby broccoli florets, you will need to cook the frozen broccoli for about 15 minutes time instead of ten minutes, and see if the broccoli is done to your preference.
Once the cooking is done, the air fryer beeps and you can turn off the air fryer.
Carefully pull out the air fryer basket (it will be hot), transfer the broccoli to serving plates, enjoy!
