Roasting brings out the best flavors in broccoli, and my favorite way to cook frozen broccoli is to roast them in the oven until they are lightly browned.

If you just bake the broccoli until they are cooked, they are still good, but for the best taste, you need to roast the broccoli until they are beginning to brown.

salt adjust to taste

olive oil 2 tablespoons

lemon juice 1 tablespoon

garlic powder ½ teaspoon

onion powder ½ teaspoon

black pepper powder ⅛ teaspoon

Step By Step Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degree Fahrenheit.

Transfer the frozen broccoli florets to a large bowl (using a large bowl make mixing easier).

Add salt, lemon juice and spices and also the oil, mix using a spoon and toss well using a large spoon or spatula so the broccoli florets are well mixed with the remaining ingredients. Gently swirling the florets around the mixing bowl using the spoon will help the spices and oil to coat evenly all over.

To roast the broccoli florets:

Layer a baking sheet with good quality aluminium foil (do not use parchment paper since we are baking in high temperature).

Place the seasoned frozen broccoli florets in a single layer in the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 22 to 23 minutes until the broccoli florets are well roasted and lightly browned!

Once the broccoli is baked, immediately transfer them from the hot oven to prevent further baking.
