Banana pineapple juice smoothie is delicious, easy, tropical breakfast smoothie drink perfect for those hot summer months or any busy mornings if you have pineapples & bananas! Banana pineapple juice smoothie can be made using ripe bananas and ripe, fresh pineapples or canned pineapples in pineapple juice.

In this smoothie recipe, I am using canned pineapples (pineapple chunks in pineapple juice) which is available year round.

The advantage of canned pineapples is that it is almost always easily available and so you can make pineapple drinks like pineapple smoothies, pina colada etc very easily using canned pineapples whenever you want!

However, if you have fresh, ripe pineapples, you may replace the canned pineapples with fresh pineapples as well, which is the best if pineapples are in season.

When you use fresh pineapples, you might need to filter the smoothie using a smoothie strainer to remove any hard residue from fresh pinespples.

If you want to make a mango based smoothie, it is important that you use fresh, ripe mangoes. If the mangoes are sour or unripe, they may not taste very good in smoothies.

So, make sure to use fresh, ripe mangoes which are available in plenty during mango season from around the month of late March, April to around June & July.

This tropical fruit smoothie tastes the best when it is served immediately, as pineapples can curdle milk if it sits for room temperature for longer.
