Mango orange smoothie is a delicious smoothie without milk or yogurt or any dairy products and it’s made using fresh mangoes, oranges and orange juice!

Delicious, refreshing drink for summer that is so easy to make at home using a blender!

mango orange juice smoothie

Mango orange smoothie with orange juice (or mango juice or water can be used as well) is a very bright and colorful, orange colored smoothie that is made of fresh, ripe and sweet mangoes and oranges.

The smoothie is naturally sweet, refreshing and delicious and perfect for breakfast or summer drinks.

This is also a dairy free smoothie without milk or yogurt, since the smoothie is naturally very thick & creamy from the mangoes that we use.

In fact, we didn’t even use any plant based milk alternatives, since we do not need any dairy or milk to make this delicious smoothie & even my kids loved it so I know this is delicious!

However, to make this smoothie vegan, you may need to replace honey with another sweetener like maple syrup or stevia or sugar as you prefer.

This mango orange smoothie is great especially for summer when mangoes are in season.

If you have leftover ripe mangoes or oranges, this is a simple and great recipe to use so you can make one of the best, refreshing drinks ever!

Mangoes and oranges pair really well together.

They make a great combination especially in smoothies.

When you make drinks like milkshakes or smoothies, mango is a great fruit to use because mangoes naturally make the smoothie thicker in texture.

They also make any smoothie so naturally sweet and delicious.

I have made this delicious, easy mango lassi with mango pulp, which can be made using fresh mangoes as well.

Mango lassi is a very popular Indian style smoothie or drink using mangoes (or mango pulp), yogurt and milk!

I have also made this delicious mango milkshake using fresh mangoes & milk which can also be made using mango ice cream.

Mangoes are also great to make unique, easy and yummy desserts like eggless mango ice cream, mango semolina cake, mango jam and more!

More easy, delicious orange recipes include homemade fresh squeezed orange juice, orange jam in instant pot, orange peel tea etc!

What kind of mangoes are best for smoothies?

Any sweet, ripe mangoes will be great for making smoothies.

Since we blend the mangoes to a smooth consistency, any variety of mango will work but make sure they are ripe and sweet. Because sour unripe mangoes won’t work great for making smoothies.

If there is any mango variety that is specifically popular in making smoothies, lassi or milkshake, that is the alphonso mangoes which are very delicious and great in recipes.

However, you can use other sweet, ripe mangoes as well to make this delicious smoothie.

It’s great if you can also find mangoes that are not very stringy or fibrous for smooth texture. However, if you use very fibrous mangoes, make sure to blend them very smooth for the best texture.

This is especially true with the kind of oranges that you use as well!

What kind of oranges are best for making smoothies?

Any sweet, less fibrous, seedless oranges will be great for making smoothies.

I used regular oranges, however mandaring oranges will be really great too. If you have mandarin oranges that are comparatively smaller in size, you may need to use more number of oranges.

It’s a good idea to roughly remove the white stringy part of oranges before you blend them.

Also make sure to remove any seeds, if they are not seedless variety of oranges.

If the oranges that you use are more sour in taste, you may need to adjust the amount of sweetener as needed.

Also, if the oranges are too fibrous or stringy, make sure to blend them very well for a smooth texture!
