Creamy Homemade Pineapple Milkshake – Non Alcoholic Pineapple Drink

We only need few ingredients to make this easy, delicious and creamy homemade pineapple milkshake, the main ingredients being pineapple, milk and ice cream.

And it is a great alternative to pina colada (if you love pina colada without the alcohol) which has usually alcohol in it, as this is a delicious non alcoholic pineapple drink so both adults and kids can enjoy it.

As I mentioned, I used canned pineapple for convenience, but you can use fresh, ripe pineapple too, if you have fresh pineapple at home.

canned pineapple

We don’t always have access to fresh pineapple, and mostly fresh pineapple is available during summer time.

But canned pineapple is always available to buy and so it is quite easy to make this milkshake using canned pineapple, as you can make it whenever you want & not just in summer.

Also, this is a great recipe to use, if you have any leftover pineapple to finish!

I have this delicious watermelon pineapple juice here, which is another refreshing non alcoholic drink using pineapple & watermelon!

Substitutes to make vegan pineapple milkshake

pineapple milkshake

To make dairy free, vegan pineapple milkshake, you can use any plant based milk like almond milk, coconut milk or cashew milk or oat milk and also you can replace the ice cream with a vegan ice cream or skip the ice cream.

Pineapple Coconut Milkshake

To make a vegan pineapple milkshake, I really prefer to use coconut milk as my first option, because pineapples and coconut milk really go great together, especially in drinks.

Think of pina colada which is a classic combination of pineapples and coconut milk!

I love the flavor of pina colada (non alcoholic version) in things like ice cream & a pineapple milkshake made with coconut milk will bring out some of the amazing flavors of pina colada!

So if you want to make this drink vegan and if you have coconut milk, replace the milk with coconut milk and also you may use a vegan coconut ice cream for best results.

Pineapple Milkshake Without Ice Cream

In this recipe, ice cream is actually an optional ingredient, but it tastes great with ice cream so I recommend using it if you have it.

To make pineapple milkshake without ice cream, you can just skip the ice cream in the recipe and it will still taste good!

If you wish, you may add a little heavy cream or coconut cream (about 2 tablespoons) to make creamy pineapple milkshake without ice cream.

So here is how you can make easy, quick and delicious pineapple milkshake at home using canned pineapples.
