    frequently asked questions:

how long do you cook breakfast potatoes in the oven?

In this recipe for oven baked cubed yukon gold potatoes, we cook the sliced potatoes for about 25 minutes until they are lightly browned!

what temperature do you cook breakfast potatoes?

We cook the breakfast potatoes at 450 degree Fahrenheit in this recipe using cubed potatoes!

what kind of potatoes are best for breakfast?

I recommend using yukon gold potatoes (yellow potatoes) or russet potatoes for breakkfast potatoes though you may use any variety of potatoes of your choice but the cooking times may slightly vary based on the type of potatoes you use.

What is the difference between hashbrowns and breakfast potatoes?

Both hashbrowns and breakfast potatoes are commonly enjoyed for breakfast (though they make great snacks or sides as well) and hashbrowns are often made from shredded potatoes or sometimes using mashed or smashed potatoes that are fried as well, similar to potato patties. Breakfast potatoes are often cubed potatoes that are fried (or stir fried), sauteed or cooked in the oven until lightly they are lightly golden brown in color and sometimes onions are used as well.

    how healthy are breakfast potatoes?

That really depends on how you cook it and how nutritious the potatoes are and if they are suitable for your health. As you know, potatoes are rich in carbs but they are also nutritious though they may not be ideal for those who are looking to reduce blood sugar or carbs in general. Also if you fry them with a lot of oil, it could be less healthier than potatoes cooked in other ways using less oil, like this oven roasted breakfast potatoes where only use few tablespoons of oil.
