Smoothies With Raspberries: Frozen Raspberries Vs Fresh Raspberries
Most people prefer frosty thick textured smoothies, so if that is what your preference is, you can use frozen raspberries to make the smoothie thick in texture and frosty and so cold.
In this raspberry smoothie without bananas, raspberries and peanut butter makes the smoothie thick in texture, so when you use fresh raspberries like I have used in the recipe, it won't be very thick since we also don't use bananas or greek yogurt.
However, it is just a matter of personal preference and my personal prefernce is to use slightly thicker raspberry chocolate smoothie which is more easier for kids to drink so I have used fresh raspberries here. Feel free to use fresh or frozen raspberries to adjust the thickness of the smoothie, as you prefer!
Using honey to sweeten the raspberry chocolate peanut butter smoothie:
Honey is a natural sweetener and the taste of honey goes great with peanut butter in this smoothie.
Once the smoothie is made, you can taste the smoothie and if necessary, you may add little more honey to increase the sweetness.
On the other side, if you don't prefer sweetness, you may skip the sweetener or reduce the amount of it.
You can also substitute honey with other natural sweeteners like pure fresh maple syrup, stevia etc if you wish.
Variations: More vegan options
This raspberry smoothie already uses almond milk which is vegan, but you may use other plant based milk options like oat milk, coconut milk etc based on your preference!
Also if you don't use honey, you can use another vegan diet friendly sweeteners like pure fresh maple syrup or stevia.
