Raspberries and blueberries have tiny seeds which sometimes stay in the smoothies, so if the residue of seeds from the berries bother you, make sure to filter the smoothie through a smoothie strainer so the seeds will not be there anymore and the smoothie will have a fine texure!

The mixed berry smoothie made using raspberries and blueberries is naturally thick and creamy, because of the berries we use.

I prefer using fresh berries to make this smoothie, though I also use frozen berries when I have them.

In this raspberry blueberry smoothie, I have used fresh raspberries and frozen blueberries, but you can use both fresh berries or both frozen berries as you prefer.

When you use frozen berries, it is important you use a high power blender to make the blending easy.

If not, it is better to use fresh berries for easy blending.

If you prefer thick, frosty and creamy berry smoothie, it is best to use frozen berries which will make smoothies so frosty and thick in texture.

However, my kids usually prefer the smoothies made using fresh berries, as they are more easy to drink.

So I guess, it is a personal preference whether you want to use fresh berries or frozen berries to make the smoothies.

As I mentioned earlier, high power blender are best to make smoothies, especially if you are making thick smoothies using frozen fruits.

If not, you will need to use fresh fruits and slightly more liquids to make the blending more easier.

Also, it is also important to use a high power blender which can crush a lot of the seeds from blueberries and raspberries!

Do blueberries and raspberries have seeds in them?

Yes, whether frozen or fresh or wild blueberries or any raspberries, they do have a lot of tiny seeds in them.

When you make drinks like smoothies or milkshakes, if you use a high power blender, a lot of those seeds gets crushed and it wouldn't usually bother you when you drink the smoothie.

I usually do not mind the tiny seed residue in smoothies using berries like blueberries or raspberries.

However, if you want a very smooth texture for the smoothie without any residue from blueberry seeds or raspberry seeds, it is a good idea to filter the smoothie using a smoothie presser!

So here is how you can make easy, creamy, delicious and colorful purple raspberry blueberry smoothie at home.
