Pineapple yogurt smoothie without banana is quick, delicious and easy to make tropical flavored pineapple drink! This is also known as pineapple lassi which is Indian style pineapple yogurt smoothie without bananas. It is made using sweet pineapples, creamy yogurt, milk and cardamom (or vanilla) for flavoring along with sugar or other sweeteners for a delicious, refreshing and cooling drink! Just like this creamy and delicious, homemade strawberry smoothie without banana, this is super easy to make!

Lassi is Indian style creamy and sweet smoothies made using yogurt (known as dahi in India) as the main ingredient, and most lassi recipes use ripe fruits like mangoes as well.

In this lassi recipe, we use ripe, sweet pineapples and yogurt as the main ingredients.

Lassi has many variations and among them, mango lassi is the most popular where sweet, ripe mangoes and yogurt are used as the main ingredients.

Lassi is often flavored with Indian spices like cardamom powder or using rose water but you can also use vanilla extract if you don’t have cardamom powder or rose water.

You can make sweet lassi using yogurt or curd (dahi) and sugar without using any fruits.

You can also make delicious lassi or Indian smoothie using other fruits strawberries, ripe peaches etc!

Try this peach yogurt smoothie or peach lassi if you have ripe peaches or canned peaches at home!

Pineapple smoothie or any fruit smoothie is often made using bananas but you can also make delicious and creamy pineapple smoothie without banana using yogurt as the main ingredient to add creaminess to the smoothie.

In this recipe, I used sweetened maple flavored yogurt for added flavors but you can use any regular yogurt (preferrably creamy whole milk yogurt for best resulsts!) or even greek yogurt if you like greek yogurt smoothies.

So here is how you can make easy, delicious and creamy pineapple lassi or pineapple yogurt smoothie without banana!

How To Make Pineapple Yogurt Smoothie Without Banana?

To make delicious and creamy pineapple yogurt smoothie without banana, we use the following ingredients.

pineapples 1 cup (fresh, frozen or canned)

yogurt 1 cup (I used sweetened maple flavored yogurt but you may use plain yogurt)

milk 1 cup

sugar 4 tablespoons

cardamom powder ¼ teaspoon (or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract)

Step by step instructions

Place the pineapple slices in the blender.

Add sugar, yogurt and milk.

Also add cardamom powder or vanilla extract for flavor.

Blend until smooth!

If you used fresh pineapple slices, filter the contents through a fine mesh strainer or smoothie strainer to remove any tough bits residue from the pineapple slices.

If you are using canned pineapples, filtering is not necessary.

Transfer the prepared lassi or pineapple yogurt smoothie to glass cups and serve immediately for best results!

If not serving immediately, make sure to keep it chilled in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

You may store this lassi in the refrigerator for couple of days or if you want to store it for more days, you may transfer the contents to ice cube trays and freeze it (make sure to freeze properly in freezer safe containers like ice cube trays or it may spoil).
