You can make peach smoothie using just peaches or you can add more fruits like mangoes, strawberries etc to make peach mango smoothie, peach strawberry smoothie etc to make it with different flavors that go very well together.

In Georgia, we almost always find lots of fresh peaches especially during the summer time when they are in season.

As much as I love this fruit as it is, I am also always looking to make something using the ripe peaches.

So far, I have made peach jam in instant pot, spiced peach butter, peach juice and also this peach smoothie!

Peach is a very versatile fruit just like mangoes and its great in desserts, jams & butters and also in drinks like juices and smoothies.

Peach cobbler is one of my absolute favorite dessert and I also love peach cake, peach dumplings, peach pancakes and so on.

See here some of the health benefits and uses of peaches.

You can find here an informative guide to buying, storing and cooking with peaches.

Coming back to the peach smoothie recipe, we only need very few and simple ingredients to make this easy and delicious and refreshing drink at home.

Notes: if using flavored yogurt like vanilla yogurt instead of plain yogurt, you may skip the vanilla extract and also adjust the amount of sugar since the flavored yogurts are usually sweetened.

Can You Use Frozen Peaches To Make Smoothie Or Lassi?

Yes, you can use frozen peaches too to make lassi or smoothie using peaches.

Just make sure to use good quality peaches and ripe peaches for making the smoothie for best results!

If you are using frozen peaches, you can skip using ice cubes too since the peaches are already frozen.

For this recipe, we have used about 2 cups sliced fresh peaches, so you can replace it with 2 cups of frozen peaches and skip the ice cubes (or just use one or two ice cubes as you prefer) to make the smoothie using frozen peaches.

Variations:

Peach Mango Smoothie

Peaches and mangoes go very well together and it is super easy to make peach mango smoothie at home.

Just replace 1 cup of peaches with mangoes in this recipe for a delicious peach mango smoothie!

Peach Banana Smoothie

To make peach banana smoothie, instead of using 3 peaches in the recipe, just use 2 peaches and one banana (and use the other ingredients as they are mentioned in the recipe) to make creamy and yummy smoothie using peaches and bananas.

Peach Strawberry Smoothie

To make peach strawberry smoothie, depending on the kind of flavor you want more, you can decide the amount of fruits.

You may use one cup of strawberries and one cup of sliced peaches to make delicious peach and strawberry smoothie.

Or you may use more amount of strawberries for a more strawberry flavored smoothie, or more amount of peaches for a more peach flavored smoothie.

Can You Make This Vegan?

To make this delicious peach drink vegan, you may replace the milk and yogurt with any of your favorite plant based milk and yogurt.

Options include almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk etc based on which flavor you like the most!

How To Store Peach Smoothie?

This drink is served the best when it is prepared and fresh!

However if you want to serve it later, make sure to refrigerate and store until ready to serve, after transferring the prepared smoothie to jars or containers.

You may also freeze the smoothie in ice cube trays and just blend them until smooth, when you are ready to serve.

You can store the smoothie in refrigerator or freezer for few more days.

Tips To Make The Best Peach Lassi Or Smoothie

To make the best smoothie or lassi using peaches, make sure to use fresh ripe peaches.

Also it will be good if the peaches are sweet as the ripe, sweet and juicy peaches make the best peach juice or smoothie or lassi or any drink using peaches.

If you use spoiled fruits, the drink will get spoiled too, so always make sure to use fresh good quality peaches for recipes.

I am saying this, because, peaches ripe pretty fast and they may get spoiled if you don’t use them immediately.

If you don’t plan to use the ripe peaches immediately, it is best to freeze the peaches for later use.

You can also freeze the smoothie and use later too.

Also make sure to use fresh yogurt (or dahi as called in India), to make the lassi or smoothi for the best results.

I haven’t tried using greek yogurt to make this drink, but you may use greek yogurt too if you like the flavor of greek yogurt in smoothies and drinks.

Also you can adjust the amount of sugar and also adjust the amount of ice cubes slightly as you may prefer.

If you do not want to use sugar, you may replace sugar with any natural sweetners like pure fresh maple syrup, honey etc as you want.

To flavor the smoothie, I have used vanilla extract in this recipe. However, you may replace the one teaspoon of vanilla extract with a pinch of cardamom powder if you wish to add an authentic flavor of lassi.

In lassi recipes, usually cardamom powder is used to flavor the drink (only a pinch is needed as it is pretty strong flavor) but you can also use vanilla extract instead as I have used here.
