This recipe for white garlic sauce for pasta & pizza is very simple, easy to prepare on stove top and we need only very few ingredients.

You may also play with few flavors like adding some of your favorite spices if you like, but keep in mind that if you add other ingredients it could affect the color of the sauce which may change from white.

As I already mentioned one of the main ingredients in the recipe for pasta sauce is garlic.

I used garlic powder for this recipe as it is the most easy way to add garlic flavor to the sauce if you prefer a smooth white garlic sauce for pasta.

If you don’t mind the little pieces of garlic, you may also use minced garlic or freshly crushed garlic.

But I highly recommend using fine garlic powder for this creamy white garlic sauce recipe.

If you are looking for a simple white sauce for pasta without garlic, you can even skip the garlic powder (and pepper powder) and just make the simple and easy white sauce for pasta 🙂

This delicious pasta sauce without cheese or heavy cream is very easy to make and it perfectly blended with the parsley pasta I made.

So here is how we can make this delicious and easy white garlic sauce for pasta without cheese.

How To Make White Garlic Sauce For Pasta & Pizza Without Cheese

We use the following ingredients to make this simple and delicious pasta sauce.

Ingredients to make white garlic sauce

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon fine garlic powder

½ teaspoon white pepper powder optional

¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Step By Step Instructions

In a small pan, melt the butter and add flour. Stir well with a spoon so no lumps are formed.

When the butter and flour are nicely mixed, add the milk and stir everything well.

Add salt and garlic powder, bring the sauce to a boil while still stirring.

Once the pasta sauce starts boiling, sprinkle the white pepper powder (if using) and switch off the stove and transfer the sauce from the stove.

Pour the sauce to the cooked pasta and mix the pasta gently so each pasta shell is coated with the white sauce.

How To Store White Garlic Pasta & Pizza Sauce?

This is a small batch pasta sauce so probably there won’t be any leftovers. Also, it is best when served hot with the pasta.

However, if you want to store the pasta sauce for later use, you can transfer the pasta sauce to air tight glass jars or food containers once the sauce is cooled and then store in the refrigerator for few more days.

That’s how long the sauce can be stored in the refrigerator, and I haven’t tried storing more long.

The pasta sauce will thicken as it cools down and if need you may add a little milk, stir well and then warm up the pasta sauce before serving.

Can You Double The Recipe?

Yes, you can easily double the recipe to make larger quantities. If you have to make sauce for more than two servings of pasta, probably you will need to make more of the pasta sauce as you need.

If you want to make more of the pasta sauce, just increase the ingredients proportionately.

How To Add White Garlic Sauce For Pizza?

You can add your favorite tomato based pizza sauce (homemade tomato based pasta sauce will work for pizza as well) over the pizza crust, then add any veggies or toppings of your choice and then add the white sauce on top instead of cheese.

So if you want to make pizza without cheese, using this white garlic sauce is an easy option.

Just top the homemade pizza with the white sauce instead of cheese once you have your toppings and then bake the pizza as usual.

If you just want to use the white sauce for pizza, you can also skip the tomato sauce and just use the white sauce instead. Also, if you wish to add cheese, you can always add cheese once you add the sauce. But this is totally delicious even without any cheese or cream!

Below you can get the recipe for no cheese white garlic sauce in detail.
